When I get back from my office or some where else and am tired then I feel and behave very strange. I don’t like to talk with anyone and if any one talks to me at that time I react very badly with anger regardless of younger or older. This state remains till half an hour or until I get fresh by doing ablution or taking a quick bath.

assalamualaykum,
the same happens to me too and i too find above methods useful in extinguising my anger/irritation.
especially taking bath often refreshes my spirit.
another method that helps me in removing routine irritation is:
** just before knocking the door of house i recollect saying of some akabir that Huzoor(sallallahualayhiwasallam) used to appear to his family smiling, so i too “wear” a smile (even if fake) before my family. the response of my “fake” smile is a genuine smile of family-members which extinguishes my irritation.
i write this so that i feel ashamed if i fail to implement this next time.
also it may be useful to some brethren.
wassalaam
